First
Impressions:
As I opened the box that these came in, I
was surprised by just how bright the four
little pots of body paint actually were. Flame
red, golden yellow, azure blue and an emerald
green stared at me from out of the case. I
hadn't realized that these were also flavored
when I originally ordered them so when I read
the packaging it was a definite added bonus
(or so I hoped). I also liked the fact that
the plastic box these came in was well sealed,
so I knew no one had tasted these before me.
I grabbed my trusty research assistant and
camera and headed into the laboratory, formerly
known as our bedroom.
As
we unwrapped each little pot of possible pleasure,
you could feel the tension rise in the air.
I admit it I've always liked the thought of
being able to paint naughty words all over
my lovers body and take pictures. At
first glance, these seemed to be the ideal
tool to do just that. Each individual pot
was sealed for safety. The paints came in
four flavors, strawberry, lemon/lime, blueberry
and refreshing mint, and it wasn't hard to
guess which colour denoted which taste.
I
began with the red/strawberry-flavored pot
and as you can see from this photo,

the red was certainly vivid as I began applying
it to his body. The paint proved to be fairly
thick and not particularly easy to manipulate
with just my fingers, but I soldiered on as
usual and soon my blank canvas was awash with
colour. It was then I decided to try something
a little more creative and grabbed a small
artists brush and a glass of water.
The small brush worked better for applying
the paints more precisely. You could actually
create a masterpiece on the naked canvas but
I never quite made the grade in art school.
Next
came the taste test. They had smelt quite
tasty in the pots, so I dived in and began
to lick. It wasn't long before I was pulling
some nasty looking faces though as these have
a really bitter taste to them and are not
at all as pleasant on the tongue as they are
on the nose. It wasn't long before I abandoned
the idea of licking and just went to slipping
and sliding all over him. This was a ton of
fun and events took their own course, just
use your imagination...
These
paints had remarkable staying power as was
proved once I got out of bed and headed for
the shower with my trusty assistant behind
me. We both looked like walking art pieces
in our own right, a mixture of red, green,
blue and yellow, maybe not Monet, but not
too shabby either. The clean up process was
fun as well, if a little time consuming (the
red in particular has some serious staying
power, and took some serious scrubbing to
remove). The paint does wash out of the bedding
quite easily but I'd consider not using your
best white satin sheets when you play with
these.
What's
It All Add Up To?
If you have kids for heavens sakes don't
show them these, my smallish daughter insisted
on trying them and managed to paint her arm
a wonderful shade of vibrant blue before I
realized what she had done. She did agree
with me that the blue had very little in common
with the taste of real blueberries; well actually
she pulled a face fit to be on one of those
video blooper shows -))
All
in all, these little pots proved to be great
fun. Even though the taste was a serious disappointment,
and the clean up was a little harder than
we envisaged, there is nothing like getting
down and bright red, yellow, blue and green
with your partner. If youre looking
to add a little colorful fun to your love
life then I would say give these a try. We
certainly had fun...
